Sennheiser EW-D 835-S
Sennheiser EW-D 835-S
Sennheiser EW-D 835-S is a digital handheld wireless configuration featuring the e 835 capsule and a handheld transmitter with a mute switch. The e 835 is a dynamic cardioid microphone capsule intended for singing and speech. EW-D is its own product family and should not be renamed EW-DX.
Digital audio and setup
The manufacturer documents 134 dB input dynamic range and 1.9 ms latency for the EW-D platform. Automatic scanning helps select an operating channel, while the Smart Assist application uses Bluetooth Low Energy for setup and management. That control connection is separate from the microphone’s wireless audio link.
Working with the capsule
A wireless link removes the handheld audio cable but does not remove the importance of microphone technique. The cardioid capsule still has a preferred pickup direction. Keeping the desired voice near the front of the microphone and considering the position of nearby loudspeakers helps the audio system make use of that directionality.
Band and component matching
The official EW-D 835-S set reference identifies an EW-D receiver, an EW-D SKM-S handheld transmitter and an MMD 835 microphone module. This identifies the standard configuration; it does not add a list of accessories to the offered used stock. The receiver and transmitter frequency labels remain important when confirming a particular system.
Available variants
EW-D 835-S is sold in multiple regional frequency ranges. The nominal tuning bandwidth of the platform and the actual band of a specific unit are not the same information. No band code has been supplied for these ten units, so a frequency range or regulatory-use claim is not attached to the sale.
Stock description
The supplied product name and separate unit price are retained. Power supplies, batteries, antennas, microphone clips, rack hardware and protective storage are not claimed as included unless the stock contents are confirmed. This description concerns the named wireless configuration in excellent condition, rather than an expanded wireless rack package.
