Martin Audio W8LM
Martin Audio W8LM is a miniature three-way line-array enclosure for live sound, theatre, corporate events and installation. Its format combines two 8-inch low/mid-frequency drivers with a pair of 1-inch-exit high-frequency compression drivers. The manufacturer describes a hybrid arrangement combining direct radiation and horn loading.
The W8LM supports passive or bi-amplified operation. Martin Audio specifies 100-degree horizontal coverage and a nominal 7.5-degree vertical pattern for the individual enclosure. These figures describe the product design; the coverage of a complete array depends on its configuration. The W8LM listing is for this exact cabinet model, separate from the wider-vertical-coverage W8LMD downfill enclosure.

W8LM: array coverage and operating mode
A miniature line-array enclosure should be selected within a complete coverage plan. W8LM’s three-way format and dual 8-inch low/mid section describe the cabinet, while the array geometry determines how several units are used together. The available stock count does not establish a preconfigured array or include a particular deployment arrangement.
The documented passive and bi-amplified operating choices also affect the system plan. Amplifier channels and processing need to follow the mode actually used. The nominal impedance belongs with that operating specification; it should not be treated as a generic value for every Martin Audio array cabinet.
When expanding existing W8LM stock, retain the exact model in the technical comparison. A downfill cabinet or another Wavefront element can serve a related role without being an identical enclosure. Match the required coverage and the actual operating mode before planning the amplifier and processing arrangement.
